About BEI
Bullwinkle Entertainment Inc. was established in 1982 to promote live original bands, and musicians. During this time BEI has promoted and produced thousands of concerts featuring original local, regional, and national acts. During the 1980's, 90's & 2000's BEI presented a diverse variety of national acts. Mike Minnick, aka Bullwinkle proudly boast, " We've presented White Zombie, Overkill, Cinderella, Ugly Kid Joe, Bang Tango, Lizzy Borden and Meat Loaf just to name a few; But my real passion was finding, and presenting the best local original acts that I could. There were so many great local bands back in the 80's & 90's. It was such a joy promoting shows at Bonnie's Roxx in New Jersey. Now, Bonnie's was a real rock club. When I found Bonnie's, back in the 80's the original scene wasn't very good. There were only a handful of clubs doing original music. It took a few years, but due to the success of Bonnie's Roxx, many other area clubs started to offer original bands. In fact there were several clubs, including "The Cellblock" that opened up just to offer original music.
Bonnie's became so successful, attracting huge crowd nightly. This lead to the club's demise, and was forced to eliminate live music by the local politicians.
I've really enjoy booking shows at many other area clubs, and venues, but Bonnie's will always be number one in my heart.
After Bonnies closed I decided to take a break from promoting shows on a regular basis. I focused on other interest of BEI, such as "The Pipeline Radio Show" that I created, and hosted with my good buddy Mike Vagnoni, owner/editor of "Out On The Town Entertainment News". "The Pipeline" featured of course local original bands, and musicians. The show was broadcasted on 50,000 watts weekly out of Philly, and on NJ K-Rock .
I've been getting so much great local music sent to me lately, and it seems that many of these bands can't get booked in a decent club. If they are offered a gig, they have to sell a bunch of tickets in advance. I've never made a band sell a ticket in advance. It's just not how I like to do business. Some say I'm crazy, but I've decided to focus my attention to promoting live original shows. It's something I love to do, and if I can help support the original scene, that's exactly what I'm going to do. "Support Original Bands & Musicians - They Are The Future Of Music"
Beginning January 2010 "Bullwinkle Entertainment Inc" will promote live original music at The Pennant East in Bellmawr, New Jersey.
BEI will book a variety of live original bands & musicians at the club. The band genres will range from rock, alternative rock, pop rock, ska, hip-hop, acoustic, and pop punk. The Pennant East has been South Jersey's #1 Rock Club for 16 years. It's known as the place to great original bands, within a friendly, fun filled atmosphere.
A place where you can totally enjoy yourself.
