Now Seeking Original Bands
& Musicians For Gigs Beginning April 24, 2009 "Bullwinkle Entertainment Inc" will become the exclusive promoter of live original music at The Cherrywood in Clementon, New Jersey. BEI has been promoting local original music, and national touring acts since 1982. The Cherrywood management sought out and acquired the services of BEI to book a variety of live original bands & musicians at the club. The band genres will range from acoustic, rock, alternative rock, pop rock, SKA, pop punk and as well as genres similar to these. The Cherrywood will become known as the place to see great original bands, within a friendly, fun filled atmosphere. A place where you can totally enjoy yourself. If your band falls in the genres listed above, I would like to personally invite you to submit your band's available open dates, for the months of April, May, June, and July for booking consideration. These bookings will be for 21+ shows. If your fan base consist of those mainly 21+, the Cherrywood is a great club to play. If your fan base is mainly under 21, please let us know, and you will be consider for a BEI under 21 show. Bands are not required to sell tickets in advance, but are strongly urged to promote to their own fan base. This will ensure a decent performance fee, as well as demonstrate the band's drawing potential for future booking consideration at The Cherrywood, as well as other venues promoted by BEI. All BEI promoted bands are given exposure on the BEI website, as well as the BEI & Cherrywood myspace sites. Also, all bands will be given press in Bullwinkle's Original Music column in "Out On The Town Entertainment News". www.ootweb.com The Cherrywood, and BEI both promote, so your band's name will be out there in print ads, flyers, email newsletters, web postings, blogs etc. BEI has been promoting original music since 1982. We have a good relationship with various college, satellite, and mainstream radio stations. We can't promise, but we just may be able to get you some airplay. In addition an in studio radio appearance is always a real possibility. The Cherrywood has a large stage, professional, sound system, and engineers. Also, a huge (free) parking area. The Cherrywood is a moderate size club with a capacity of 200. The Cherrywood is located at 1460 Blackwood Clementon Road, Clementon New Jersey 08021. (In the KMART Shopping Center).....We're very close to Philly, just 10 miles (about 13 minutes) from the Walt Whitman Bridge, 13 miles from Ben Franklin Bridge (about 17 minutes), Both Tacony Palmyra Bridge & Betsy Ross Bridge 24 miles (about 30 minutes), Delaware Memorial Bridge 45 miles (about 53 minutes) And just a short drive from everywhere else in South Jersey. When your band is not performing, hangout at The Cherrywood whenever you can. Support the local original scene, as well as other original bands, and musicians. If we can't support each other, then the original scene will go nowhere. I'm frequently at the club, and love to meet old, and new friends. Stop on by and have a beer with me. BEI Intern/Representatives Wanted
BEI is seeking interns in the PA, NJ, DE, MD and NY areas. As an intern you will represent BEI scouting, and discovering local original bands, and musicians. You will attend shows, and seek out original artists for live performance consideration. In addition, you will be working with local clubs, and media outlets, establishing a working relationship on behalf of BEI. The internships are non-paying positions. You will be reimbursed for expenses limited to venue admission, parking, gas and tolls. You will gain hands on experience, which may assist you to obtain a paying position with BEI. You will be provided with business cards, and credentials. If you're a college student, you may be eligible to receive credit for these non-paying internships.
